FAQ

Do you accept non-comedy events and venues?
Yes, the system is very flexible, a perfect solution for concerts, plays, touring shows, conventions, and trade shows.

Do you accept small events?
Yes, small or large events work well with our system. You will need a credit card merchant account or use PayPal.

What merchant service gateways configured for use?
Presently we can configure services for Authorize.Net, Verisign and Paypal. Additional providers are in process.

Why use an online ticketing service?
People purchase tickets 24/7 online. They like to reserve tickets when it's convenient to them. The ability to purchase tickets early, prior to a popular event is a big advantage for online fans. Using a third party provides verification of sales that might otherwise be lost to unauthorized comps or ticket skimming. Online sales are increasingly popular. For smaller clubs and events the online system can save the expense of phone or ticket-window staffing.

Why use ComicTickets.com?
ComicTickets is the only ticketing system designed specifically by and for the comedy industry. Special features including show calendars, product stores, multi-media previews, links to comedian availability systems, wholesale comedy products, press release support and other features make ComicTickets a sound promotional partner.

Can we try out ComicTickets?
Subject to acceptance, ComicTickets requires no long term contracts or agreements. We encourage you to use our system for the benefits that it offers. We also have an online demo at CLICK HERE

Does ComicTickets.com hold club sales revenues?
No, all transactions are directed to your existing credit card merchant account or PayPal account.

How Does ComicTickets.com get paid?
Member comedy clubs send us a negotiated commission on ticket sales each Monday via credit card and a small basic hosting fee.

What are the fees?
Fees are negotiated on an individual club or event basis. Factors considered include proven ticket volume by the club or event promoter, type of account (club, multi-date event, single date event) and business history. However fees never exceed a $4 per ticket industry standard. Hosting fees range from $5-$20 per week depending on traffic volume and bandwidth demands.

Who pays the ticket handling fees?
The consumer pays a ticket handling fee directly to the club, venue or promoter in addition to the ticket price. That fee is forwarded to ComicTickets weekly to cover the cost of the service. You get every dollar of your full ticket price on each ticket. No commissions. No lost revenue.

How do clubs/promoters know who has purchased tickets?
Each event has two sales rosters one for tickets and one for products that can be printed for ticket window or door use. Additionally, each ticket purchase generates transaction record that may be printed by club staff. Customers are able to print a copy of their transaction online. Additionally, your merchant account will provide detailed records of each transaction.

Are there hidden fees?
No. We structured ComicTickets.com to be a low overhead option for clubs and events that earns fees based on completed sales.

Can this system handle phone-in sales, ticket window sales and comps?
Yes. In addition to online sales, ComicTicket.com offers a complete system with provisions for off-line sales 24/7 and no-fees on comps issued by management.
